The Artist

Isa Sator has been a painter since she fell from the cradle — she knew how to paint before she could read and write. Having become a lawyer to "bury her madness under the guise of an irreproachable woman," she will let the latter explode in flight!

Having spent nearly 10 years discovering other times and places on the other side of the Pacific, she returned from New Caledonia in 2003 as an established painter, yet entirely self-taught. Today she lives and works in Paris.

His work falls within the realm of free figuration — impulsive, impetuous, and colorful. A language at the junction of Nolde, Cocteau, Masson, Joëlle de La Casinière, and Basquiat.

His word

"Color is the voice of my inspiration, the canvas of my life, and my most fundamental reference point." For me, red is synonymous with passion, aquamarine symbolizes the secret power of women, navy blue represents pain, yellow signifies brilliance...

"The majority of my work takes place at nite in the weaving of my dreams." My canvases are symbols of life and hope. In the face of adversity, I respond with strength and the joy of living. It turns out that I have a fierce desire to exist against all odds.
